DEDC Card App Privacy Policy

DEDC Card is operated by JINKUN TRADING LIMITED (Hong Kong). DEDC Card respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how DEDC Card collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services.
This Privacy Policy applies to the DEDC Card mobile app. It does not apply to other company websites, ecommerce stores, or services unless they specifically link to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
Account Information
When you create an account or sign in, we may collect your email address, user ID, profile information, authentication data, and account settings.
Card Images and Collection Data
When you use DEDC Card to scan, upload, or grade collectible cards, we collect the card images you provide, related image data, grading results, card details, collection records, favorites, and other information needed to provide the app features.
Card images may contain metadata depending on your device and upload method.
Subscription Information
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Apple through your Apple ID account. We do not collect or store your full payment card number. We may receive subscription status, product ID, renewal status, and related entitlement information from Apple and RevenueCat so we can manage your access to paid features.
Device and Usage Information
We may collect basic device, app, and usage information, such as app version, device type, operating system, feature usage, diagnostics, error information, and server logs. This information helps us operate, secure, and improve the app.
Support Communications
If you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, message content, and any information you choose to provide.
Device Permissions
DEDC Card may request access to your device camera so you can capture photos of collectible cards for scanning, collection management, and AI-assisted grading. Camera access is used only when you choose to scan or capture a card image. You may deny or revoke camera permission through your device settings.
If you choose to upload an existing card image, DEDC Card may request access to your photo library so you can select images from your device. Photo library access is used only to let you choose images for app features.
DEDC Card may request access to device motion sensors, such as the accelerometer or gyroscope, to help display a level guide while scanning card images. Motion sensor data is used locally on your device for the scanning experience and is not uploaded to our backend or used for fitness, health, advertising, or tracking purposes. You may deny or revoke motion permission through your device settings.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide account, login, collection, scanning, and grading features
- Process card images and return AI-assisted recognition or grading results
- Manage subscriptions and paid access
- Save your card collection and app preferences
- Provide customer support
- Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
- Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, security issues, or technical problems
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and platform requirements
3. Card Images and AI Processing
DEDC Card uses AI-assisted tools to help detect, recognize, and grade collectible cards. AI grading results are provided for reference and informational purposes only and may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for valuation or resale decisions.
We may process card images through our own backend systems and through third-party visual AI providers.
We use Ximilar s.r.o., a visual AI provider based in the Czech Republic, to help detect, recognize, and grade collectible card images. When you submit card images for AI grading, we may send the image itself or a secure image URL to Ximilar through its API so Ximilar can return recognition and grading results.
According to Ximilar's public Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, images sent only for inference are processed in memory and are not stored, and customer content is not used to train, fine-tune, or evaluate models for other customers or third parties unless explicit written permission is given.
We do not make your uploaded card images public unless you choose to use a sharing feature or otherwise authorize us to do so.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate the app and related services. These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us.
Our current service providers may include:
- Supabase: authentication, database, storage, and backend infrastructure
- Ximilar: visual AI recognition and card grading support
- RevenueCat: subscription entitlement management
- Apple: App Store subscriptions and payments
- Hosting, cloud, analytics, diagnostics, or support providers as needed to operate and improve the app
We may update our service providers over time as our app develops.
5. Advertising and Tracking
DEDC Card does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs or track users across apps or websites for advertising purposes.
If we introduce advertising, marketing analytics, or cross-app tracking in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy, App Store privacy disclosures, and obtain any required permissions before enabling those features.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information:
- With service providers that help us operate the app
- When needed to provide AI recognition, grading, storage, subscription, or support features
- To comply with applicable laws, legal requests, or platform requirements
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the company, or the app
- In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets
7. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.
Card images, grading results, and collection records may be retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the app features.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify account data, subject to legal, security, fraud prevention, backup, subscription, and operational requirements.
Some information may remain in backups, logs, subscription records, or legally required records for a limited period.
8. Account Deletion and Your Choices
You may request account deletion through the app or by contacting us.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of your personal information. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent where applicable.
You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
DEDC Card is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries or regions other than where you live. These locations may have different data protection laws. When required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice where required.
