Q: What does the DEDC ALPHA kit include?
The DEDC ALPHA Complete Restoration Kit includes everything you need to flatten, clean, and restore trading cards: 1x acrylic humidor box, 2x precision acrylic plates, 2x foam protective pads, 4x stainless clamps, 1x heat pen tool, 1x bone folder, and 50x parchment separation sheets. Everything ships in a protective storage case.
Q: What types of cards can I restore with DEDC products?
Our kit works with virtually all trading card types, including:
• Pokemon TCG (modern and vintage, including first edition)
• Magic: The Gathering (all sets, including foils)
• Yu-Gi-Oh! (standard and special edition)
• Sports cards — baseball, basketball, football, hockey (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL)
• Dragon Ball Super Card Game, One Piece TCG, and other modern TCGs
• Vintage cards (pre-1990) — use low heat and gentle pressure only
We recommend testing on a low-value card of the same type before treating valuable cards.
Q: Can I use this kit on cards I plan to submit to PSA, BGS, or SGC?
Yes. Our kit uses GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified materials that leave no chemical residue on card surfaces. The restoration process — when done correctly — is undetectable by grading companies and does not violate any grading company’s policies, as it involves physical and thermal restoration only. Hundreds of our customers have successfully submitted restored cards and received grades of PSA 8, 9, and 10. That said, grading outcomes depend on the card’s original condition and the skill of the restorer; we cannot guarantee specific grades.
Q: How long does the restoration process take?
A typical restoration session takes 3–6 hours from start to finish:
• Humidifying: 30–60 minutes in the humidor box
• Pressing: 2–4 hours under the acrylic press
• Heat-fixing creases (if needed): 10–20 minutes
• Final dry rest: 30–60 minutes flat before handling
Severely warped or damaged cards may require multiple sessions over 1–2 days for best results.
Q: Is the heat pen safe for all cards?
The heat pen is safe when used at the correct temperature setting for each card type. We include a detailed guide in every kit with recommended temperature ranges. As a general rule: use the lowest effective heat setting, keep the pen moving, and never leave it stationary on a card surface. We strongly recommend practicing on common cards before using the heat pen on valuable ones.
Q: Will restoration increase my card’s PSA grade?
In most cases, yes — particularly for cards that are damaged primarily due to warping, bending, or minor creases. Our customers report an average improvement of 2–4 PSA grade points after using the DEDC ALPHA kit. However, we cannot guarantee specific grading outcomes. Restoration does not repair print defects, surface scratches, or severe structural damage to the cardstock.

Q: Where do you ship?
We ship worldwide. Standard shipping destinations include the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, and over 50 other countries. International shipping times and rates vary by destination. All orders include tracking.
Q: How long does shipping take?
• United States: 3–5 business days (standard), 1–2 business days (expedited)
• Canada: 5–8 business days
• United Kingdom & Europe: 7–12 business days
• Australia & Asia-Pacific: 10–16 business days
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships.
Q: Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free standard shipping on all orders over $50 within the United States. International orders qualify for free shipping on orders over $75 USD.
Q: Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Orders can be modified or cancelled within 2 hours of placement. After that window, orders are processed for fulfillment. Please contact us immediately at simon@dedccard.com if you need to make changes. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled but may be returned under our return policy.
Returns & Warranty
Q: What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day hassle-free return policy. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in original or like-new condition. We will issue a full refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of receiving the return. Return shipping is covered by DEDC Card Care for defective or incorrectly shipped items.
Q: What if my product arrives damaged or defective?
We stand behind every product we ship. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us at simon@dedccard.com within 14 days of delivery with a photo of the issue. We will ship a replacement at no cost, no questions asked.

Q: Do I need an account to place an order?
No, you can check out as a guest. However, creating an account lets you track orders, view order history, and save your shipping information for faster checkout in the future.
